Director(s):

Maya Castronovo

Maya Castronovo returns with Wisconsin Party and Protest.  Maya took first place with her film “Strawberry Afternoons”created for our Green Bay future Filmmaker Festival in 2018.

Inspired, Maya decided to submit “Strawberry Afternoons” to a national competition she’d been eyeing for a while.  One of the biggest in the US, she became one of 8 filmmakers from Wisconsin presenting their work at the All American With School Film Festival in New York City, blocks off of Times Square and then won Best Music Video at the Copa Shorts Film Festival in Maricopa. Maya went to Verona Area High School outside Madison, Wisconsin and is currently a Film and Media Studies student at Columbia University.

Her Film “Laura” (2018) was selected at both the Wildwood Film Festival and the Wisconsin Film Festival.  Her film “Mother’s Love” (2019) was also selected at the Wisconsin Film Festival.
