"Meer bei Nacht" (Sea at Night) tells the story about a man, whose disease took away his self-determination, reputation and social support. His tendency to get lost in memories of his past, leads him to a momentous decision.

Kim Fabienne Hertinger

Kim Fabienne Hertinger celebrated her first success in filmmaking at the French "Festival Vidéo Jeunes Franco-Allemand 2010", where her short film "Vitesse" (2009) won the "Award of the city Trévières". Also in 2010, she attended the renowned London Film Academy to make her first experiences in international filmmaking.
Beside her psychology studies (2011 - current) in Würzburg (Germany), she took various chances to expand her knowledge in filmmaking, for example by supporting lokal filmmakers and artists. Out of this association, the concept for "Meer bei Nacht" (Sea at Night) was formed. This project brought Kim F. Hertinger`s two subjects, psychology and film, together. The movie was shot in August 2017 and completed in November same year.
